Hi, I'm Dennis S. Elwell, owner of Ankeny Golf Works. I grew up right here in Ankeny and first picked up a golf club when I was 16. It did not take long for me to fall in love with the game.
Golf became a major part of my life. I played competitively through high school and college, along with tournaments outside of school. From 2019-2023, I attended Grand View University in Des Moines, earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
My interest has always gone beyond simply playing. I enjoy learning how clubs work, making adjustments, building and repairing them, and finding ways to get the best possible performance from every piece of equipment.
